Tyre Pressure

Brightwater has developed special very high resolution pressure sensors for use with 60% model tyres. The sensors provide accurate pressure and temperature monitoring of model tyres during WT tests. Standard WT pressure range of 0.5bar provided a pressure measurement resolution of 1.75 mbar Sensor transmit rates can be configured to suit the parameter measurement sweeps that are being used so ensuring pressure updates are received with each sweep whilst maintaining maximum sensor battery life.
The TPMS receiver will transmit absolute pressure and temperature data by CAN or Serial interface (decodes for popular WT data systems available). Sensor mounting solutions using valve stem housing or bespoke PCB carrier are available.

Differential Pressure Sensor

Miniature differential pressure sensor/transmitter for use on rotating parts, such as brake disc. Provides accurate pressure measurement over the range +/1200pA. The sensor data is received by the existing TPMS receiver so providing a convenient solution for acquiring additional pressure data with an existing Brightwater WT System.

A tyre pressure and temperature sensor which has been specially adapted for installation on wind tunnel model pneumatic tyres. The TPMS sensor has a low pressure range with very high resolution and accuracy as required for monitoring WT model tyres.

This new improved design is a further development of the BW1c sensor. The BW1d sensor has reduced current consumption (to BW1c), RS232 port (for PC setup), and increased memory.
